Sexton joins the administrative team

Kristin Sexton joined the iSchool on February 7 as an office administrator. In her new role, she will provide administrative support for advancement and coordinate iSchool events, including convocation.

Sexton has worked on campus for over thirteen years, most recently as an office manager in the Marketing and Communications Office at the University of Illinois Foundation. She earned her bachelor's degree in organizational and professional development from Eastern Illinois University.

"I applied for this position because I felt that it was a perfect fit for me," said Sexton. "I am looking forward to meeting new colleagues."

In her free time, Sexton enjoys refurbishing furniture and other DIY projects, doing Zumba, and spending time with family and friends.

Dombrowski to deliver the 2024 Windsor Lecture

Quinn Dombrowski, academic technology specialist in the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages, and in the Library, at Stanford University, will deliver the 2024 Windsor Lecture on Wednesday, May 1, at 5:00 p.m. in Room 126, 501 E. Daniel Street, and online via Zoom.

Capshaw to deliver 2024 Gryphon Lecture

Katharine Capshaw, professor of English and associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of Connecticut, will deliver the 2024 Gryphon Lecture on March 21. Sponsored annually by the Center for Children's Books (CCB), the lecture features a leading scholar in the field of youth and literature, media, and culture.
